Some game photos for you

A 12ft tall Martian limbers forward gushing blue gas from it back pores with blue plasma streaming from its plasma rifle.  In its other hand a 6ft long sword.  Not a pleasant sight at cost range ...

A rather busy table this one representing an area around Matlock in Derbyshire.  The terrain was heavy enough that the British infantry managed two repel the attack and force the Martians to evacuate back to their ship.

Three. British infantry try to slow two martians.  Martini-Henry rifles do hurt at close range even if you are made of some sort of martian igneous rock.

Alas three is not enough.  Pretty uneven fight when they get close.  1-tonne vs 100kg close combat is never pretty in any game.

It did not end well.  Six half privates IIRC.

A Martian war team.  Their society is built around Crystals.  They count in base 6.

A key part fo the skirmish game is to have circular bases and use circular discs as markers under them.  This will create a neat 1mm ring of colour around a base.

RED = wounded.  The rules just have ok, wounded, disabled - a permanent effect.
BLUE = slowed or stunned.  Martians get slowed; humans get stunned - a temporary effect.

The same concept is used in all my skirmish rules.

A tussle between three British infantry and a martian with a single melee weapon.  The British infantry get a WHITE in combat each.  The Martian gets two YELLOW!

It did not go well!

The British start with 27 infantry and keep going until hey get down somewhere 15-10.  The Martians are a war team of 6 and will evacuate back to their ship if reduced to 3.  [basic game - advanced game it is driven by the colour dice instead].
